Section 12710—Theater Seating (Celebration—U)

BACK:
Outer back shall be 9/16" seven-ply hardwood core with upholstered outer surface. Inner back shall be 9/16 seven-ply hardwood core. Outer back shall be secured to inner back with four concealed fasteners. Bolts and threaded inserts will be used in lieu of wood screws. Exposed screw heads on face of outer back are not acceptable. Back cushions shall be 2 ˝" high-density, cold cured, contoured, molded foam. Upholstery shall feature horizontal pleat in upper back to prevent wrinkling.

SEAT:
Seat cushion shall be 5 ˝" high-density, cold cured, contoured foam. Seat frame shall be 12 gauge tubular steel with five #10 gauge serpentine springs integrated within the foam three inches below top surface. Entire seat surface to be upholstered. Seat cover shall have rear zipper for easy removal. All foam and fabric shall meet California Technical Bulletin #117. Metal or plastic seat buckets are not acceptable.

SEAT OPERATION:
Seat lift shall be gravity-lift system consisting of a seat axle and socket. The use of nuts and bolts for securing the seat to the standard is not acceptable. Seat component to be removable from chair frame without the use of tools.

STANDARDS:
All floor standards shall be 1 ˝" by 1 ˝" continuous weld steel in an eleven-gauge minimum. All exposed steel components shall be painted with electrostatic epoxy polyester, oven baked to a thickness of 3 mils.

AISLE PANELS:
Aisle panel shall be constructed of molded polyurethane with integral skin. Poly frame shall be two inches wide around perimeter of end. Aisle panel shall receive Lifetime Warranty against chipping, scratching, cracking, or denting.

ADA PANELS:
Aisle panels shall hinge on rear side and swing out at ADA locations.

ARM CAPS:
Arm caps shall be 2 ˝" wide molded polyurethane with integral skin. Caps will receive crown shaping from end to end and side to side. Arm caps shall receive a Lifetime Warranty against chipping, scratching, cracking, or denting. Arm caps shall be applied with concealed fasteners consisting of two keyhole plates recessed in the underside of arm cap.

HARDWARE:
All hardware shall be rustproof, solid black zinc.

NOISE TOLERANCE:
Seat lift noise shall not exceed twenty decibels
